Travel for women wanting to travel overseas alone used to be not a done thing, and women would not travel as they either felt self conscious or were worried or concerned that they would feel out of place traveling solo. I can tell you through today it is a completely different story as more women pack their bags and hit the high roads. No longer do they have to put off travel as they have no one to travel with or a friend that they wanted to travel with pulled the plug at the last moment.

With a little bit of planning and a dose of common sense your trip will be an exciting experience and you will meet dozens of amazing people like yourself who want to experience travel for singles.

  • Before you travel ensure that you have given your itinerary to family and friends.
  • Take a copy of your passport
  • Choose a good quality hostel and note the location, all of the people you meet here are exactly like you traveling on their own. I have met people I have clicked with and have continued my trip enjoying their company for a few weeks to a month and then we have gone our separate ways.
  • Ensure that you are not dressing flashy and leave expensive jewelry at home.
  • If you go to bars keep an eye on your drinks.

These are but a few tips you will find more in the video below.

Hopefully the holidays for women tips and travel for women safety advice has already got you excited about booking your next holiday giving you lots of confidence to know you will meet other solo travelers along the way who you will make friendships with for life.

Travel Tips: How To Pack

Travel Tips: How To Pack

Travel Tips: How To PackIf you are anything like me when I plan to go on a trip I pack until I have to sit on the case to get it to close.  When I get to where I am going I find either one of two things:

  • I have packed way too many clothes and will bring half of them home again unworn
  • After I buy a few souvenirs I need to purchase another suitcase to get everything home again.

When I pack to travel I also pack for the what if’s rather than being more practical by checking on the net to see what the weather will be like in the destination rather than pack extra jumpers and coats just in case it gets cold.  And when it comes to shoes I try to be ruthless and only pack the necessities and end up with 5 pairs that are bulky and take up room in my suitcase.

The last time I traveled I looked at a few travel tips that was designed to travel more lightly and to only take what you will actually use when you are away.  What I liked about the packing tips is that after you do this once or twice you will never go back to the old way you used to pack again.
