Canada Adventure Tours

Canada Adventure ToursCanada adventure tours can be taken in any of the ten provinces and three territories which make up this large North American country.   Canada is diverse and colorful and fascinating.  You can experience your adventure of a lifetime in British Columbia, Alberta, Newfoundland, New Brunswick, Labrador, Ontario, Nova Scotia, Quebec, Prince Edward Island & Saskatchewan.  Remoter territories are the Yukon, the Northwest Territories and Nunavut.

The capital of Alberta is Edmonton, and your adventure travel experience in Canada could be in Lake Louise, Calgary, Banff, the Rocky Mountains, experiencing the Calgary Stampede, the Edmonton Folk Festival, or in numerous other places.  Regina in Saskatchewan, as well as two other cities — Saskatoon & Prince Albert — have plenty of outdoor adventure, hunting and fishing to offer visitors. The provincial capital of Manitoba is Winnipeg and this province is best known for Folklorama, Le Festival du Voyageur, and as being the Polar Bear capital of the world.  So you can experience this, or any other Canadian province to the fullest, a Canada adventure tour would be the best way to go.

Ontario is often considered to be the most cosmopolitan province as it has hundreds of lakes and Toronto as its capital.  Also in Ontario is the capital of Canada, Ottawa.  Niagara Falls is famous and the twin city to Buffalo is on the other side of the falls in the U.S.  Ontario is known for Bruce Trail, the Niagara wine region, the CN Tower, Algonquin Park, and many, many lakes and woods.  A fascinating province is Quebec, and Quebec City is its capital.  There is much to see here, including Old Montreal, the French culture, the Plains of Abraham, the French language, and lots of skiing for the adventurer who loves the white stuff!

Canada Adventure ToursIn New Brunswick the visitor will find Fredericton, the Bay of Fundy, a great coastline, lighthouses, and the Appalachian Range.  Halifax is the capital of Nova Scotia, which of course means New Scotland.  It has a lot of attractions, including the Celtic culture, Cabot trail, lots of scenic drives, fresh lobster dinners, a wonderful coastline, the Fortress of Louisburg, and plenty of chances to take one of those Canada adventure tours.  Charlottetown is the capital of Prince Edward Island.  This darling place is known as the setting for Anne of Green Gables.

Labrador & Newfoundland have the capital of St. John’s as well as icebergs, whale watching, friendly people and Gros Morne National Park.  In the wild Yukon, Whitehorse is the capital and there are plenty of trips to take if you want adventure.  Let a guide help you up here and you’ll have the most fulfilling adventure of your life.  There’s dog sledding, Kluane Natl. Park, the midnight sun, the northern lights, and historic locations associated with the Gold Rush.

Yellowknife is the capital of the Northwest Territories, which is a wonderful setting for all kinds of outdoor adventure, the midnight sun, the Nahanni River and the northern lights.  Capital of Nunavut is Iqaluit and it’s the youngest province or territory in the large country of Canada.  Your experiences in British Columbia, Banff & Jasper, and Ontario will be memorable.  Be sure and check out a few wonderful Canada adventure tours as soon as you can.

Japan Guided Tours

Japan Guided ToursBecause of the many exquisite sites, both historical and natural to be found in Japan, Japan guided tours are a wonderful way to see the country. The country of Japan is an archipelago, formed from volcanic activity and within East Asia. Home, or major islands of Japan, are Honshu (which is the mainland), Kyushu, and Shikoku. Altogether, Japan has 2,456 islands. Okinawa and tiny islets are included in that number. Not all of the islands of Japan are inhabited.

Japan travel is wonderful and exciting and uplifting because of the country’s often stunning beauty, modern cities, and glorious art. In area, Japan is a little smaller than Montana and slightly larger than Germany. Because a lot of the riches of Japan are scattered around, guided tours have a major impact on enjoyment of this Asian country, for the visitor. Japan is located in the temperate zone and has 4 distinct seasons. They vary, as does a similar country in the Southern Hemisphere — New Zealand — from a cool temperate zone to one that’s subtropical. Of course, the New Zealand climate is reversed.

It rains in a lot of areas of Japan, and along with that comes humidity. The East coast of North America also offers a comparable climate, and there it would run from Nova Scotia in Canada to Georgia in the U.S. Tokyo lies on the same latitude as Athens, Tehran and Las Vegas. Climate in Japan also depends on where a region is located — on the Sea of Japan or on the Pacific. Really there’s lots to see and do in Japan for the tourist, no matter how long they want to stay. There are long Winters and snow in the North as well as hotter weather and humidity further South.

Japan Guided ToursBudgets for Japan guided tours can range from best value to five star, and from small groups to self-guided and independent travel. Often, a tour company can also arrange flights to save the visitor even more. Summer and Autumn are prime times to visit Japan. Some areas are quieter than others and offer less-crowded conditions at this time of year. There are tons of festivals in Japan as well as events centered around famous Mt. Fuji. Spring and the cherry blossoms attract millions of visitors each year to Japan. Japan gave the U.S. cherry trees and Washington D.C. holds its own cherry blossom festivals each year.

Travelers on a low budget, a moderate budget, or luxury travelers can experience the delights and see the sights of Japan. Honeymooners may travel to Japan and find it welcoming. Whether single or a family, old or young. tourists in Japan find guided tours a real boon. Accommodation varies widely and you can usually find something that will suit you in many different regions of the country.

Hotel rooms may not be as large, as often, as they can be in North America. But, the Japanese people whether in the country or cities, are welcoming. Use a professional company, experienced with Japan guided tours, to take you amongst the cherry blossoms, and beyond!

Cruises to Mexico

Cruises to MexicoLately I have done a few cruises to Mexico and I just love it as cruising is not usually all inclusive, but the price does include cabin, food (all you can eat and then some and 24 hours a day!) and on ship activities such as entertaining shows, pool and gym access and other on ship activities. Cruising is my favorite form of travel because it is so convenient and simple.

Planning your cruise to Mexico is very easy and totally in your control.  You decide when you want to cruise, ports of call you want to see, the ship you want to sail on, and how much time you want to spend with a ship that offers all types or off ship excursions.

A few popular Mexican ports of call include Puerto Vallarta (remember the TV show “The Love Boat”?  This was their favorite port of call): Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan, and Cozumel.

To fill up any last minute empty cabin space, it is common practice for cruise lines to offer you enticing incentives to book a cruise to Mexico with them.  With these types of incentives and best deals at your disposal, you have a great opportunity to grab an affordable vacation.

Cruises to Mexico – What to pack for a 4 day trip:

  1. Bathing suit, sun screen should be mandatory, due to closeness to the equator and appropriate cover-up for the long days in the sun.
  2. Appropriate and comfortable clothing and footwear for the times you will spend in ports of call, especially if you intend on visiting the Mayan Ruins.
  3. Include your necessary travel documents
  4. No need to bring several full outfits, mix and matching is a great way to get different looks with the minimum of clothing.
  5. Due to mandatory screening of your luggage, you usually will not get your suitcase before dinner, so pack, in your carry on, appropriate clothing for your first night of dinner.

Cruises to Mexico tips

For shore excursions, remember that the local vendors offer tours of each port, and they will probably charge a lot less than the cruise line charges for a similar package, and they will know the out of the way places, the cruise line wouldn’t know to bring you for the experience.

All in all, a cruise is a trip of a life time, you are pampered and treated like royalty as you visit popular ports and destinations, and who knows you might find your true love also.

Cruises to Mexico is a cruise you need to take – you won’t be sorry!

Travel To Italy

Travel To Italy If you’ve always wanted to travel to Italy, then go for it.  This incredibly popular tourist destination will take your heart away and the countryside is most like California, with its vegetation and convoluted country roads.  The attitude of the people in Italy’s sunny climates is relaxed and free.  You can often see men and women walking the sidewalks of a beach town, perhaps looking for a nice gelatto  or cappuccino, while still wearing their European-styled swimsuits!  Italy does jut right out into the warm Mediterranean, after all!

Popular Areas to Visit When You Travel to Italy

It’s harder to not list a city or region, than to list them.  Capital of Italy, Rome is incredible to simply walk around, past the ruins of the Coliseum, site of ancient games and perhaps on to the catacombs.  Rome had some technological wonders (for its day) of aqueducts, which carried clean water to the citizens, and an organized food and other products distribution system.  The Western world has based its forms of government on ancient Rome — with senators and the National Guard (the roman army was not permitted within city walls), and congressional perks (like the baths and luxury villas for certain well-heeled people).  Of course, the art and sculpture of Rome is known the world over.

Travel to Italy and See Venice

Travel To Italy Venice is a wonder, with its canals and old buildings and incredible churches.  The water slaps up against the buildings in this stunning part of the Italian panorama.  One can sometimes sit on one of the benches outside of a church and wonder at it all — how it was created and how long it will endure, or simply close you eyes and feel the hot Italian sun on your face.  Almost every part of Italy is a feast for the senses.  Thinking about churches — most have a dress code so women should carry a scarf to cover their heads and a simple wraparound skirt if they are wearing shorts or pants, and if they want to enter the cool interior of the many churches.

Clothes and Other Things Needed on Your Travel to Italy

The weather, because it’s partly Mediterranean and Italy is almost all coastline, can vary a lot.  The old “layer” method of dressing works best, and use natural fabrics if you can.  Polyester is not a natural fabric and can cause irritation if you get hot, and also, it doesn’t let you “breathe” much.  Always keep your personal belongings safe, as in any crowded area anywhere around the world.  Use public phone booths where you can, over hotel phones.  They can charge very high prices for international calls.  If you have a satellite phone, well, you are all set.  If you like to eat, then Italy will always remain number one on your list for that activity!  Think great wine and pasta and cheeses, and gelatto in a multitude of flavors, and…

See it all When You Travel to Italy?

Maybe not, but you can see an awful lot if you plan ahead and make best use of your time.  The country is a feast for the eyes and senses, from the fashion houses in Milan, to the opera house in the same location, to the seaside and the countryside and the people themselves.  And the art… Where else could Michelangelo and Leonardo (not Di Caprio) be from?  We’ve got together a few itineraries so you can make best use of your days in glorious Italy:

  • Take four days for Rome and include Naples, Florence and Pompeii.
  • Use 3 days for Florence, and a visit to the Tuscany region.
  • Verona and Cinqueterre could use at least two days.
  • Venice and Verona would be a good trip if you can take two days.
  • Venice alone needs three days to do it right.

Travel to Italy and your memories will absolutely last a lifetime.
