Travel for Singles to New Zealand.  Here, you’ll find every kind of cruise you’d ever imagine — or dream about.  Ever wanted to see and feel what the other half of the world is like?  It’s just like ours, but with the seasons reversed.  Imagine celebrating Christmas in a subtropical paradise like New Zealand.  On the North Island in Summer, you can hike through primitive fern forests that have been around for millennia.  If you are a nature lover, this prime cruise destination is a wonderland with the birds, wildlife and incredible scenery.  Why not take a cruise to the Southern hemisphere when your part of the country is under several feet of snow, and the temperature outside feels like the North Pole?

If you live in the Southern hemisphere, then explore the rest of it.  Cruising is so comfortable and right.  While you are on a cruise, all of your accommodation is taken care of.  You go to the sights, visit for a while then get back on board — looking forward to a great meal or two, some entertainment, and perhaps, a little romance.  There is truly nothing like  a cruise for meeting people if you are single and looking around a bit.  And, if you do meet someone and would like to spend some time together, then why not take a tour of New Zealand?  There’s so much to do on both the North and South Islands.   In the North the climate is warmer, with many sandy beaches to enjoy while you’re off-ship.  Auckland to the very north is a fantastic urban city with miles and miles of white sand beaches.  Inland on the North island you’ll get those fern forests and a wonderful place called Waitomo Glow-worm Caverns.  Go on a boat into a cave and look at the night sky — only it’s not the night sky, it’s glow-worms doing their thing. On the bottom of the North island lies Wellington, the capital of New Zealand.

On the South island it’s a little more rural and touring with your shipmates (or shipmate) will bring a sense of wonder and a chance to chat while the stunning green hills go by your bus window.  There are many more sheep than people in New Zealand and you will see lots of their snowy white “cotton balls” on the rolling hillsides.  A sheep shearing tour would be an informative stop-over and if you get a chance to see the West side of the South island, this is where the fjords are.  Yes, they have fjords in New Zealand.  It’s also a center of geothermal activity and along the way, as you tour, check out bubbling mud pools.  New Zealand has incredibly diverse animals and plants.  One of the strangest lizards, and it’s ancient, is the Tuatara.  This lizard actually has three eyes.  The third one is a light/dark receptor in the middle of its forehead.  Of course, the Kiwi lives here although you’ll probably only see this flightless bird in a zoo.

Again, after returning to your ship and weighing anchor, eat dinner from one of the many buffets, perhaps see a show, or dance the night away.  Maybe you’ll be trying your hand at learning a few Pacific Islander dance moves.  The Maoris are the original inhabitants of this great island nation of New Zealand.  See as much of it as you can, then return to your stateroom and you’ll soon be dreaming of ancient animal life and fantastic tropical flowers and plants.
